The Patriot Standard Should Be The American Standard………..
I have signed the pledge and am proudly running as a 912 candidate.
These are the Values and Principles are what I pledge to my fellow Americans and Constituents of the Illinois 5TH Congressional District.
9 PRINCIPLES
America Is Good. How can anybody think differently. This great land of opportunity has been a blessing to many. Sure we have our problems, but they never come close to outweighing our abundance, our liberty, our freedom and the many lives that produced great American dreams. Dreams for the common folk. Dreams that we know, if we work hard enough we all have a chance to accomplish in one form or another. This great Nation has given me so much and I appreciate the opportunities it has afforded me. I wish to pass those blessings and opportunities to others who will come behind me. That is why I am running for Congress.
I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life. The miracles in my life have been many. Broken relationships healed. Illnesses have subsided, I sometimes found myself going down a wrong path in life and was apprehended and put on the right path, the good Path, the God Path.Sometimes I wonder at how folks can make it without God in their lives. Grace has been abundant. Where would I be without unmerited favor that only God can give. God is the reason this country is so great. I am indebted to God for all He has done in my life. He is my compass and as compasses go for me God is “TRUE NORTH” If I follow God , His ways and His principles, while I my go through rough waters, I will always find solid ground to plant my feet on in the end. I have no illusions about who I am. I need God, his Grace and His mercy in my life, all day everyday.
I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
Why? Because I truly believe that we reap what we sow. Honesty and integrity produce results as well. If we desire goodness and prosperity in our lives, we must sow it first. It is very obvious this principle has not been followed by many of the people in Washington DC. They have been self serving. How do we know? Easy, look at the state of our country. That’s why we need to know from our candidates that they are committed to strive to be honest today and everyday they are working for us.
The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
This is something that I have lived out. In 2009 I ran for Congress in the Illinois 5Th Congressional District. During my campaign my father had a stroke. Since my mother is gone and my father only has me to look after him, I had to pull back from campaigning because I believe first things first. I could always run again for Congress, but I only have 1 father. And actually, If I had been sick I know my father would have done the same for me. Going back to the Principle that God is the center of my life is demonstrated here also. I believe in Honoring my Mother and Father and by caring for my dad, I in-fact am honoring him.
If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
This is a principle that comes to mind when I think of my signature issue, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. What part of following the law should not be enforced? Why is there a double standard when it comes to American Citizens and illegal aliens? Why are the American taxpayers spending billions of dollars and footing the bills for people who have broken the law, stolen identities and are sending billions of dollars back to their own counties. We have wounded Veterans who fought for this great country and they are being shortchanged in Hospitalization benefits while illegal aliens are getting everything for free. Our Senior Citizens who built this country have to pay for medications they cannot afford on a limited income, while illegal aliens get their medications for free. I call this Criminal. Our laws should be enforced, no matter what the ethnicity!
I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
What a great country we live in where opportunity abounds. And Life is not fair. Welcome to the real grown up world. If we were guarateed we would all win the lottery. Life is what you make it. We have all had are share of not so pleasant circumstances. Those who are winners, those with the American Spirit make lemonade out of lemons. I wish life was fair and things were equal but they are not. Having said that we still live in the best place in the world to be happy and content to one degree or another.
I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
I live in America, not only the greatest country in the world, but also the most generous! When I think back on 9-11 and the outpouring of contributions for the families that suffered I am astonished. We can reflect on any one of the many natural disasters that the American people open their wallets and sent help. If anyone checks their facts we are overly generous. The idea that the government is going to spread our hard earned money around as they see fit, is outrageous. As if we don’t take care of business on our own.
It is not UN-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
We must get involved and let our voices be heard. I believe that is how we have hurt our great country. We have not been active politically and we do not let our voices be heard to those we have voted in. If the people we vote into office work for us, we must communicate with them on a regular basis.
The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
That is why I am running for Congress! To give the government BACK to the People. If I am elected to Congress, I am working for YOU. I believe Servant Leadership needs to make a comeback. Let it begin with me.
12 Values
Honesty
It’s the Golden Rule, it’s the best policy. Still!
Reverence
We have lost reverence for those who have fought for the country, our Veterans and those who have built the country our senior citizens. We need to practice reverence for authority. Only when we practice reverence will we receive it in return. Give honor where honor is due.
Hope
Hope keeps you and me going each day. This great country has been a beacon of hope to millions of people who have lawfully migrated. That is why we are such a great country, America offers hope and the rule of law which is the foundation of Liberty and Prosperity to those who would head it.
Thrift
This should be the number one value in Washington D.C. Especially because they are spending the taxpayers money, not their own
Humility
We all make mistakes. We need each other and help from above. We need to be open to advice and input, none of us have all the answers. When we are in places of authority we must remember we answer to the people of the United States of America
Charity
This has been a hallmark of Americans. We have a heart for those in need. We have been blessed with abundance in our country and it is best we remain charitable and helping those who need it.
Sincerity
We need to be genuine and honest in our dealings with people. Authenticity is what people crave. Authenticity has been missing from Political arenas.
Moderation
Moderation will help us keep our lives in balance, when people are working in Government moderation in all things is the key to a healthy life.
Hard Work
God Bless America! It is where hard work has paid off for most people. It does the soul good and in America we work hard and can enjoy the fruits of our labor. Life is good.
Courage
Courage is what the 912 Project is all about. Signing up to be a 912 candidate is exercising that courage. It takes courage to stand up and be counted. It takes courage to go against the flow, which is sorely needed today in America.
Personal Responsibility
Once you learn this value, your life seems to take off, for the better. We are personally responsible for our happiness, liberty and prosperity. This value is a great gift, it is an Empowering Value. With it I am a victim no more. I am required to grow up, act as an adult, make adult decisions and get help if I need it. Part of taking personal responsibility is getting the help I need to assist me through life.
Gratitude
When you have gratitude you realize that you have received favor in life, you recognize the provision that has been afforded you, by no effort of your own. Gratitude is the prerequisite for contentment in life I am so grateful for all that has been afforded me in this life, even though it has not been perfect. Gratitude is the key to success. It is powerful and worth cultivating. In America we of an overwhelming abundance and gratitude should be our response.
